Expand your concealed carry options with our Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry Course.
This course is designed for Virginia concealed handgun permit holders who want to apply for a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. The Utah permit is widely recognized and can provide additional reciprocity for eligible permit holders traveling outside Virginia.
During the course, students will review the required Utah curriculum, including firearm safety, safe handling, Utah firearm laws, permit responsibilities, prohibited locations, and important legal considerations for carrying concealed.
The class also guides students through the Utah application process so they understand what documentation is required and what must be submitted to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).
This is a classroom-based course intended to help students complete the training requirement for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit application.

Please bring the following with you: - One 2" × 2" passport-quality photo - Your current Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit - Your Virginia Driver’s License or other valid Virginia ID - Check or money order for $90 payable to “BCI” We recommend having all required documents and payment prepared before arriving so your application materials can be completed as smoothly as possible during the course.
You must have already obtained your Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit before attending this course.
